Probably the most important thing you can do to give yourself the best chance at winning custody of your children is documentation. In terms of the best Child Custody Strategies documentation is the number one thing you can do. Document everything about your children, your interaction with them, your soon to be ex's interaction with them, anything your former spouse does, everything you can think of to put on paper. This should not be considered an invitation to sling mud, state your opinion or anything along those lines. It should be limited to factual information. Did your ex arrive late to pick them up for a visit? Document it! Are you receiving harrassing phone calls from your former spouse? Document it!

Trust me, the person with the best documentation of events has the best chance to get custody. Of course documentation is not the only thing you need to do and in upcoming posts I will outline some of the strategies for winning child custody.

I have custody of my children and I learned everything I know from Child Custody Strategies by Dr. Barry Brickin and Dr. Gail Elliot.

Next time we will review selecting the right attorney.
