What is a Dad?

There are so many men who have children in this world.  Some play a large role in their children's lives and others play almost no role at all.  Most dads probably fall somewhere in between although there is no way to really prove that at all.  But,  there is a definite stigma that has been attached for many years that should be debunked by now.  Most men in today's world do care about their children and want to play as big of a part as they know how to.

So,  the question is,  what is a dad?

For many years the answer was that of a breadwinner and authority figure in a household and not much more than that.  Today,  the social climate has changed and many men realize the joys of playing with their children and taking the time to involve their children in activities that make for lasting memories for both the child and the father.

Whether or not you make a lot of money,  you can still be the best father that you can be.  And most children do not grow up to ever have any resentment over how much money their father may have earned,  but,  they will resent a father who chose making money over spending time with them.

A dad is someone that a child can turn to for support and stability in their lives.  And someone that is there to have fun with as well.  Make your children a priority in your lives and the rewards will be worth more than any amount of money you could ever make.
